Exclusive, personalized paintings for your private art collection.

I would love to create a valuable, custom piece just for you. Read on for all the details. . .

DEPOSIT

Due to high demand, I only schedule commission requests with a 50% deposit. Custom paintings/sketches take longer to produce (1-3 months). This deposit is non-refundable, and will be applied towards the overall cost of the commission. If you decide not to proceed with the commission, you can apply the payment towards any products on my website.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Submit the inquiry form below to receive more information about the commission process as well as how to pay the deposit on your exclusive artwork. Upon receipt of deposit, a private zoom call will be scheduled between us to discuss your one of a kind, original, commission art. In order to have the best outcome for your painting, it's better to keep an open mind and not force any specific imagery. Keep the ideas open for my interpretation.

  1. Fill out inquiry form below.

  2. Within a week of receiving your form, I will review and send a rough estimate along with instructions to pay 50% deposit.

  3. Once deposit is received, we can schedule the initial zoom call to clarify your vision and iron out details.

  4. In the week after that call, I will be sending thumbnail sketches (3-4) for rough composition as well as color swatches to choose from for the major color themes.

  5. Upon receiving feedback on the initial thumbnails, I begin a detailed sketch in charcoal on newsprint.

  6. Approve that sketch, and painting begins - progress photos and videos will be coming your way!

  7. Final approval of the finished piece and instructions to pay balance and shipping.

  8. Your finished artwork will ship with tracking and require a signature.

From start to finish, depending upon the specifics, expect the process to take up to three months. Oil is a slow medium and requires a great deal of dry time, so be patient. Sketches are faster and usually completed within a month. We will be in close communication throughout the entire process. I will send you photos and videos of the piece in progress. When your artwork is completed I will send a final photo and video for approval along with the link to pay the balance.

Because each commissioned piece is a true collaboration, where I retain a great deal of creative direction, it's important to share what happens just in case the finished painting isn’t the right fit for you (though this has never happened!).

If, once the piece is complete, you decide not to move forward with the purchase, there’s absolutely no pressure. You’ll receive your deposit back as shop credit, and I’ll lovingly release the painting into a future collection. As always, I retain full rights to the piece, and who knows, someone else might just fall in love with it, too.

  • "I commissioned a painting for my son’s birthday. The detail, the texture—everything about it was so thoughtful. Working with Renee was easy, intuitive, and collaborative. I’ll be coming back again, without a doubt."

30” x 40” oil painting of a red dragon, framed

  • "Renee was able to catch his spirit and personality in this piece. I cried tears of joy when I opened the package and saw my first kitty. He is forever memorialized. I could not be more pleased and would encourage anyone who has lost a pet to memorialize them this way. I am so grateful."

    11”x 17” sketch of a tuxedo cat

  • “I had a very specific vision in mind, and somehow, you captured it even better than I imagined. It’s the first thing guests comment on when they walk into my home. I love how it seems to shift with the light—there’s magic in it.”

30” x 40” oil painting of Joshua Tree National Park on canvas

  • “From the very first sketch to the final brushstroke, I felt seen and heard throughout the whole process. You didn’t just paint what I asked for. Every time I look at the piece, I find something new to love. Thank you for creating something I’ll cherish forever.”
