Starry Still Life is a luminous botanical composition that blurs the boundary between earthly abundance and celestial wonder. Set against a deep, indigo-violet sky scattered with starlight, an arrangement of lush blooms rises like a constellation of petals suspended in time.
A pale tulip stretches upward with quiet elegance, while layered roses in blush and cream unfurl beside a richly saturated anemone and a deep magenta ranunculus. Cascading wisteria drapes gently over translucent glass vessels, delicate goblets and rounded flasks that catch and refract soft, golden light. A butterfly, poised mid-rest among the blossoms, introduces a note of transformation and fleeting beauty, echoing the cosmic shimmer in the background.
The interplay of glass and flower is central to the piece. The vessels feel alchemical, suggesting themes of preservation, experimentation, and reverence.
