Goodbye My Heart is a series of four mixed media paintings created with watercolor, acrylic, and ink. Inspired by the beloved backyard birds who have kept me company as I built my garden and my home in Southern California over the past decade, this collection is both a love letter and a farewell. Each bird is paired with a favorite bloom from my garden — a hummingbird with pineapple sage, a titmouse with a ripening pomegranate, a chickadee among starry borage flowers, and the devoted pair of doves who return each year to nest beneath the grapevines on my pergola.
